Behind the counter, you can usually find a young store clerk who will be more than willing to offer you assistance should you need it - or at least take your money. Some days you may catch Greg, the owner (a self-confessed ex-hippie-turned-music-guru) wandering around the store in a Hawaiian print shirt and cargo shorts, or even Casey - a frequent visitor to the venue - often found in the used section flipping through Nirvana CDs. If you do happen to run into him, just keep walking and don't make eye contact. He'll be gone soon enough.

The store itself is not terribly big, wedged in between an ice cream shop and a travel agency, two stores down from the Amped guitar shop, well within walking distance to the university campus and mere blocks away from Quake. The air inside is a little musty, and usually a bit on the warm side. A large window along the front of the shop gives customers a view of Water St. Various posters line the walls, and if you're interested in purchasing a used CD there is a "public" stereo in the back if you'd like to have a listen before you buy it. A bulletion board towards the entrance to the store has a general rundown of various advertisements littering its surface, usually ads for apartment and house rentals, instruments for sale, musicians wanted for various bands, and a monthly schedule for nearby venues for live music.

Otherwise, Tracks is basically just your average music store.
