WHAT TO WIN

Things you can challenge for:

  • for a territory on your island
  • for two mares/non-subordinant stallions
  • for two non-depenant foals

    Winnings:
  • if a stallion wins a land, he gains the mares that live there
  • if a stallion wins a bachelor land, those stallions are free to choose.
  • if a mare wins a land, she gets the mares that live there
  • if a mare wins a bachelor land, those stallions can be held hostage
  • amazon mares may choose to leave if another mare takes over.
  • if a mare has a foal and is challenged for and won by another stallion that foal must accompany her if it is under 6 months of age.
  • GENERAL RULES
  • challenged horse gets the first post
  • stallions may challenge mares for their territory (et vice versa)
  • mares may challenge for their freedom, their foal's freedom or another's freedom if they so choose
  • you must post the challenge both on the board and in the living place of the horse you are challenging
(if the horse is currently held in another place other than they're usual living place, post wherever they are being held)
  • if the challenge is not answered within 3 full days the challenger wins by default
  • if a challenge being fought goes inactive for 3 full days whomever posted last wins by default. longer days may be gained if the players agree to it before the battle.
  • no word limits.
  • you must play out the wounds you receive.
  • a horse can only participate in one battle at any given time
  • a player can only participate in two battles at any given time
  • no matter what the verdict, players must wait a full three days before attempting to re-challenge/re-steal for whatever was being challenged/stolen for at the time.
(ie: if you win a mare, no one else can steal/challenge for that mare for three days.)
  • a stallion must be given a full 3 days RL time before being challenged again
(this equals roughly 6.5 days negative time)
  • LAND/TIME & BATTLE FORM

    Land & Time:

  • all fights must happen between the first light of dawn and the last light of day
  • horses are not nocturnal, fights do NOT happen in darkness.
  • weather conditions must comply with the current season/weather on the homepage
  • the fight will be played out as if it is happening wherever the challenged horse lives
(ie: if the stallion is challenging for a mare, it would make sense for the stallion to be wherever the mare was in order to collect his winnings right away)

    Battle Form:
  • 3 posts each
  • 2 attacks per post
  • 1 full dodge per post* optional. you may choose to allow your horse to take both hits and/or take one and take a partial hit for the second one.
  • Final post is defense only.
  • JUDGING FORM

    Attacks:

  • list all attacks made by horse
  • how well planned was each?
  • how much damage did they wreck?
    Damange:
  • list all damage horse took
  • was the damage taken sufficient in response to attacks dealt?
  • did the horse take too much/too less damage?
  • was all damage played out accordingly?
  • were height/weight factors taken into consideration?
    Defense:
  • did the horse tend to only take the lesser of two blows?
    Environment:
  • how well did the horse incorporate the environment into the post?
  • into the attacks/damage/defense/over-all movements?
    Realism:
  • were all movements/attacks/etc realistically possible?
(ie: did the horse do anything it couldn't physically/anatomically?)
  • does everything add up?
(ie: did the horse bite the other's neck while facing the rump?)

    The Post:
  • how descriptive was it?
  • did the post feel full of fluff just to make it longer?
  • how easy/hard was it to figure out what the horse was doing?
  • spelling/grammatical errors?
    Overall:
  • based on all the above information, choose your victor.
  • please feel free to offer any explainations.
