Any thread that is going to take place in a dormitory should be posted here, as well as any threads in the room of a teacher who lives on campus. All threads posted here should take place in either Jasmine Boyd Hall or Maxwell Swift Hall, obviously. Make sure that you've at least glanced over the Residential Life page so that you have an idea of how the dormitories are laid out before posting. Also, it's helpful if you decide exactly where your post is going to take place -- for instance, if it's in the basement, in the main foyer/entrance on the first floor, in the computer room, a quiet study room, in one of the rooms in one of the suites, or in a bedroom. Also pay close attention to the difference between single rooms and double rooms and if you're visiting another character, make sure you know which they have. You don't want to describe them having a roommate if they don't! The same rules apply to the dormitory board as they do to the school board. Remember to ATTN: CHARACTERNAME if you want a specific character to reply to your post, and remember to put CLOSED or OPEN depending on if you want anyone or nobody except a specified person to respond to it. Properly tag any subject with warnings if your post is going to contain materials that would be rated higher than R -- basically, if your character's getting naughty. And remember that, should you choose to do that, your characters would have to be careful when sexing in the dorms. After all, a resident assistant could be coming by at any time to check on students (although they aren't allowed to enter anyone's room without permission). Also remember the curfews for girls and boys to be back in their separate halls -- no girls can be in the boys' dormitory and no boys in the girls' after 9 PM. | ||||
